It touches the storefront only, never your catalog, orders or customer data, which stay exactly where they are. Nothing changes for your customers until you decide to publish. This is also why the paid theme is not part of the package: the work happens inside the theme you already run.

Your analytics help a lot: conversion rate, top traffic sources, where people drop off. If you have run tests or collected customer feedback, send that too, because it usually points straight at the pages that matter most.
