Custom Shopify Liquid Sections Your Theme Cannot Do

Liquid is Shopify's own templating language, so a custom Liquid section is a block of your store coded directly into your theme rather than added by an app. It appears in the theme editor like any native section: you add it to any page, reorder it and edit its content yourself. It is for store owners whose theme cannot do something they need, a comparison table, a slider, a custom product block, without paying a monthly app fee.

The service costs $30 for 1 section, $100 for 4 and $150 for 6. Every section is matched to your theme's styling, editable from the theme editor and responsive on mobile, tablet and desktop. Projects beyond six sections are quoted as a package rather than per section, because sections that share design logic cost less together. Delivery takes 2 days for one section, 4 days for four and 5 days for six, once the scope is confirmed and I have access to your theme. The same request can mean a two-hour section or a two-day one depending on your theme and what the section has to do, which is why I ask for a short message first. Larger packages get their own timeline in the custom offer.

Comparison tables, pricing grids, sliders and carousels, tabbed content, before and after blocks, animated counters, FAQ accordions, filterable galleries, review widgets and custom product blocks. Cost, speed and ownership. An app charges monthly, loads external scripts that slow your store and disappears when you stop paying. A custom section is paid once, adds no third-party request and stays in your theme files if you change freelancer or agency. The trade-off is that apps update themselves: that rarely matters for display sections, and it can matter for complex functionality, which I will tell you before you order.

Yes to both. The settings are exposed in the theme editor, so you change text, images, colors, links, layout and order without touching code, and you can reuse the section on several pages. The section is a separate file in your theme, so it stays through regular updates; on a major theme version upgrade, where files are replaced, it is copied across, and I document which files were added so any developer can find them.

A link to your store, your theme name, a description of what the section should do and any visual reference: a screenshot, a competitor's page, a Figma file. Tell me which parts you expect to update often, so those are the settings I expose. To add the files I need collaborator access to your theme. The message first lets me confirm feasibility and quote the real scope, so you never order the wrong package.

App development, checkout customization, third-party API integrations and full theme builds are separate projects. This service covers sections, blocks and widgets inside an existing theme.
